Who is a Born Teacher?

What does it mean to be a “Born Teacher?”

One of the challenges a college student could face could be to select a major or a career path. Down the road, they might see a light at the other end of the tunnel. This would help them choose what they would like to be after they graduate. On the other hand, some students might have already decided which career they would choose before they enter the university. Most professions require a set of personality traits to be successful. For instance, doctors need to be empathetic and are expected to possess good bedside manners.

So, how does teaching differ from the other professions out there? A big difference is in the qualities the candidate must possess to be a devoted and compassionate educator. I’m sure you are thinking of at least one such teacher. It wouldn’t be wrong to mention here that teaching is not for everyone! The shorter school days and summer breaks should not determine the decision to enter the teaching profession.

Which other qualities do you think a teacher needs to  have to be a warm defender who builds strong positive relationships with  the students? In a particular grade, a student spends one full year with teachers who might have an impact in different ways. A positive and open-minded teacher will stimulate learning in a safe and accepting environment. It is a huge responsibility that teachers undertake to make a difference in the whole child.
